Recently ThreeSpiresPhysiotherapy has become one of the proud sponsors of Burton Swimming Club. Sponsoring a local club or team is something that we have been thinking about doing for a while but simply never got round to it, due to being busy with seeing patients and providing the best home visit physiotherapy service that we can. We see a lot of sports injury patients and finding a way to give something back to the local sporting community has been at the back of my mind for a long time and it has been fantastic to finally provide some support for a local team.

Our new sponsorship of Burton Swimming Club came about via a chance reading of a tweet of one of the people we follow on twitter - Craig Day (if you want to find him on twitter then he is @craigday4) who is the fundraiser for the swimming club.

He was looking for people or organisations to sponsor particular swimmers and had put out a request on twitter - once I saw this I realised that this could be a great opportunity for ThreeSpiresPhysiotherapy to finally get involved with supporting the local sporting community in Staffordshire. As a local home visit physiotherapy service based in Lichfield and seeing patients across Staffordshire I think it is important that we support the local sporting community - especially the youth element - which was why when I saw this opportunity I was very keen to get involved straight away. As local physiotherapists we see a lot of sports people from a large range of sports including swimming, running and due to my own particular background (a keen rock climber) climbers and mountaineers, as such it is great when we can find a way to give a little back to the community and offer some financial assistance.

For anyone who hasn't read this blog before: we are a home visit physiotherapy service working across Staffordshire and the West Midlands. We are based in Lichfield but travel widely to areas such as Burton, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Cannock and Rugeley. We offer a wide range of services including neurological rehabilitation, post-operative physiotherapy, acupuncture and sports massage.
